BVI FSC forex broker licence check
British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission
For traders checking a broker’s licence. Start with the legal company name in your agreement; this guide is not about obtaining a business licence. Check name, permissions and status →

Use the FSC's Investment Business register to investigate a financial-services licence. The separate company search concerns incorporation; it is not a substitute for a licence check.
Investment Business — Use this reference to find the official record. A matching number alone does not establish permission for the service you will use.
Plain-language guide to the terms
1
Choose the country and regulator
A regulator oversees financial services. The same abbreviation can refer to different authorities in different countries.
2
Check the contracting company
The legal entity is the company named in your agreement. Its name may differ from the trading brand.
3
Read the official record
A licence concerns a specific company and activities. Check its name, reference number and permitted services together.
Three things to compare
Keep your agreement and the official register side by side as you check these items.
01
The contracting company
Match the company named in your account agreement, not just the trading brand.
02
The authority’s record
Check the legal name, number and listed contact details. Distinguish this from company incorporation.
03
The service you will use
Read the business category, permissions and restrictions. Leave unresolved points marked as unconfirmed.
How to check the record
01
Read the exact contracting entity, not only the trading brand.
02
Search Investment Business and inspect the category and status filters.
03
Keep the matching record and check relevant alerts or enforcement notices.

OANDA Global Markets Limited
BVI FSC lists OANDA Global Markets Limited as currently regulated for dealing as principal. OANDA supplies licence SIBA/L/20/1130 and company number 2026433. The register page does not print the licence number.
OANDA describes pooled segregated client accounts. Its liquidation explanation deducts administration costs and notes possible delays for term deposits. This is not a compensation guarantee or proof of UK FSCS cover.
BVI FSC lists Deriv (BVI) Ltd as currently regulated for dealing as principal. This page has no licence number; the company match must not be mistaken for verification of an identifier.
BVI additional terms R26|03, dated 6 April 2024, permit using client money to meet obligations arising from clients' derivative trades. This clause does not establish a compensation scheme or unconditional segregation guarantee.
The current international site identifies the BVI entity. Its stated exclusions include UK, North Korean and US residents; this source does not establish eligibility elsewhere or revive any separate former Cyprus permission.

Does finding BVI incorporation establish a financial licence?
Use the FSC's Investment Business register to investigate a financial-services licence. The separate company search concerns incorporation; it is not a substitute for a licence check.
Does a licence cover every company in a group?
No. Check the exact contracting entity and the relevant service. A brand can use more than one legal entity.
Does an unconfirmed record mean a company is unlicensed?
No. Missing or inconclusive evidence means we have not established the claim. It is not a finding of unlawful conduct.
