FTMO

The difference at a glance

FTMO 1-Step has fewer evaluation phases; 2-Step gives a larger daily loss allowance and offers Swing. Neither route makes the displayed CFD balance withdrawable cash.

Scope: Global CFD programs, evaluation and subsequent FTMO Account. Regional affiliates and Futures excluded.

Same 10% — different moving limit

Example: $100,000 simulated starting balance. Overall limit only; daily rules still apply.

1-Step · end-of-day trailing
$90k$100k$110kStartMidnight 1Midnight 2

Solid blue: balance · Dashed amber: overall floor

The floor rises after a higher midnight balance. It does not fall when balance falls.

Floor: $90,000 → $94,000 → $94,000

2-Step · static
$90k$100k$110kStartMidnight 1Midnight 2

Solid blue: balance · Dashed amber: overall floor

The overall floor stays at $90,000, even after balance rises.

Floor: $90,000 → $90,000 → $90,000

Calculation and official rule

1-Step uses the highest balance recorded at 00:00 CE(S)T, or starting capital if higher, minus $10,000 in this example. The floor applies to equity, including open P/L and costs. A new account after a Reward withdrawal resets the 1-Step floor.

Costs, examples and important conditions

What the price means

Entry prices refer to the smallest advertised offers, not a $100,000 account. Check the selected size, currency, tax and optional conditions at checkout. The CFD evaluation fee is one-time. 2-Step’s qualifying fee refund accompanies the first reward; 1-Step has no passing-related refund.

The practical difference

With $100,000 starting and midnight balance, a $3,100 net equity loss exceeds 1-Step’s $3,000 daily allowance but leaves $1,900 under 2-Step’s $5,000 allowance. This isolates the daily rule; every other limit still applies.

After evaluation

Standard account news and weekend restrictions differ from evaluation. If your method needs those freedoms, investigate 2-Step Swing before purchase; do not assume you can switch later.

Before you act

  • Identify the CFD program and country route.
  • Compare the final fee at the same account size.
  • Check daily and overall floors before each session.
Scope, limitations and source checks

Provider conditions are not a safety rating or independently verified payment history. Check your eligibility and agreement.

Fees on equal terms

Recorded base fees. Account size is not the fee. Check discounts, tax and extra charges at checkout.
