Public research policy
Corrections policy
This page describes how FXVeritas intends to correct the public file. It is a policy, not a live corrections desk, ticket queue, or public log.
Public file principles
These rules apply to every FXVeritas public research page. They are not a ranking.
- Research Confidence is not a safety rating.
- Regulator verified does not mean a broker is safe.
- Unknown does not mean unsafe. Unverified does not mean fraudulent. Unregulated does not automatically mean a scam.
- Protection unknown does not mean no.
- Commercial or affiliate relationships do not change research labels, verification status, Research Confidence, or editorial conclusions.
- FXVeritas does not recommend a broker because data has been verified.
Scope
Corrections apply to facts in the public file: legal names, licence numbers, verification status, protection facts, and similar stored fields.
FXVeritas does not currently publish a corrections history or a count of corrections. Absence of a log is not evidence that no change has occurred.
How different claims are treated
Each claim is checked against sources. Gaps are not filled with estimates.
- Factual correction
- A stored value that does not match a primary source is eligible to be updated to the source-supported value.
- Source re-verification
- A row may be checked again against the same class of source. Last checked records the attempt, including unsuccessful attempts; verification status records the confirmation state.
- Stale information
- When a previously checked fact is no longer treated as current, the file may show a stale or warning state. That is freshness, not a finding that the broker is unsafe.
- Disputed information
- If a broker or reader disputes a fact, FXVeritas compares the dispute to the source on file. A dispute without a stronger source does not rewrite the file.
- Unknown / insufficient evidence
- If evidence is not enough, the field stays unknown. Unknown is not filled with an estimate, and unknown does not mean unsafe or no.
- Material correction
- A material correction is a change that would alter a published Safety evidence label, verification status, protection fact, or Research Confidence. It still requires a source. It is not a paid rewrite.
Keep unknown when evidence is insufficient
FXVeritas does not invent a licence number, protection policy, or legal entity to complete a profile.
Unknown, not yet checked, and unverified are accurate empty states. They are not negative findings.
Process in this phase
A claimed error is compared with the source on file. If a primary source supports a change, the file can be updated. If it does not, the stored value or unknown state remains.
Corrections are reviewed independently of commercial relationships. Payment, partnership discussions, or affiliate status do not influence a correction decision.
Submit a correction or official evidence
Identify the exact page and claim, explain the requested correction, and provide a primary-source URL or official document where possible.
Submissions are evidence candidates. They are reviewed and do not automatically change the public file, verification status, Research Confidence, or adverse evidence.
Help us identify the exact record
Include the FXVeritas page, exact legal entity or Prop program, the claim you question, the official source URL and the relevant passage or date. A submission starts a review; it never directly changes research. Do not include account numbers or other private account information.
