Public research policy
Data sources and verification
FXVeritas separates stored source references, check attempts and successful verification. None is a statement that a broker is safe.
Public file principles
These rules apply to every FXVeritas public research page. They are not a ranking.
- Research Confidence is not a safety rating.
- Regulator verified does not mean a broker is safe.
- Unknown does not mean unsafe. Unverified does not mean fraudulent. Unregulated does not automatically mean a scam.
- Protection unknown does not mean no.
- Commercial or affiliate relationships do not change research labels, verification status, Research Confidence, or editorial conclusions.
- FXVeritas does not recommend a broker because data has been verified.
What is stored
These records exist in the public catalog. Missing records stay unknown.
- Regulators
- Named authorities in the catalog, with a code, country and official website where stored.
- Legal entities
- Operating companies attached to a broker brand. Licenses and protection facts belong to the entity, not the marketing name.
- Licenses
- Licence numbers and status on a legal entity, linked to a regulator. A stored licence is not a statement that the broker is safe.
- Official regulator sources
- Public registers used to confirm a licence. Regulator verified means this class of source was used.
- Broker official sources
- The broker’s own legal or regulation pages. A stored URL does not by itself prove that the page was successfully checked.
- Protection sources
- Sources used for entity-level client-protection facts, such as negative-balance protection, segregation or investor compensation.
- Source URL
- The URL stored for a fact when FXVeritas recorded where it was checked.
- Last checked
- The last check attempt, including unsuccessful checks. It is a freshness timestamp, not a safety rating.
- Verified at
- When a row was treated as source-checked. It is not a safety evaluation.
- Verification status
- The source-confirmation state of a row: unverified, verified, or stale. It is not a safety rating.
What the public labels mean
These labels match Broker Detail and Directory. None of them means the broker is safe.
- Regulator verified
- The licence was confirmed on an official regulator register. This is a source check, not a finding that the broker is safe.
- Unverified
- FXVeritas has not confirmed the row on a primary source. Unverified does not mean fraudulent.
- Stale / Warning
- A previously source-checked row is no longer treated as current. Stale is a freshness warning. It does not mean the broker is unsafe.
Primary and official sources
Primary sources are official regulator registers and broker official legal pages. Protection facts use the same rule: entity-level sources, not brand slogans.
FXVeritas prefers these sources for verification status. A primary-source check still does not mean the broker is safe.
Third-party and community sources
Community reviews and external listing sites are not used to mark a licence Regulator verified.
If an external site appears in a profile, inclusion is not an endorsement and is not a verification of the broker.
